The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the standalone and consolidated management and statutory reporting functions, strategic planning & budgeting functions for CBU. The role provides critical financial insight as a business partner, playing an integral role in supporting operational decision making and strategic planning, at all times ensuring information integrity, accuracy, quality, and compliance with IFRS/IAS.
Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Financial Reporting, Transaction Processing and Consolidation
Oversee preparation of statutory and monthly management reports, including P&L, cash flow and KPIs
Ensure overall leadership of management reporting function of the division, underpinned by effective financial controls.
Liaise, support, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders on management reporting matters. Ability to deliver fast ‘helicopter view’ financial analysis.
Lead on the implementation of improved reporting, operational and financial systems and processes
Implement new receivables reporting and assurance process, to ensure on time collection of receivables
Manage the Global Solutions and Yardi team relationship
Implement the “Balanced Scorecard” reporting and planning process for CBU
Ensure compliance with group and general corporate governance
Budgeting, Forecasting and Strategic Planning
Responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for CBU
Review, validate and challenge inputs from Projects, Head Office, Human Capital, consulting, corporate recharges, marketing etc.
Consolidate, present and provide financial insights for the CBU budgets and strategic plans
Lead on the HFM submission of budgets and start plans, ensuring on time and accurate submissions
Definition of Success
Strong feedback from key CBU business stakeholders and Properties Finance
On time and accurate submissions of all CBU financial data

Strong knowledge of financial processes
Working knowledge of IFRS/IAS and related interpretation
Experience in working with Oracle e-Business Suite, Yardi, HFM

Minimum experience
10+ years post qualification experience and 5+ years in a managerial role.

Minimum Qualifications/education
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics or finance or other numerative business discipline
Professional certification(s): CPA ACA, CMA, ACCA, or CIMA, CFA
