Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence is a 41-floor luxury serviced apartment tower in the Centre of Dubai\'s business district. About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Finance Manager to join Finance department at Jumeirah Living.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

1. Responsible for all aspects of the financial management of the property, which includes administering accounting policies & procedures, following procurement practices and procedures, preparing and interpreting financial statements and management reports, budgetary control and all legal/contractual matters to ensure compliance with Jumeirah standards.

2. Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process to ensure all departments are delivering according to the approved targets.

3. Lead the Finance team in order to drive improved performance and develop talent to create solid succession planning within the SBU and beyond for Jumeirah.

4. To provide accurate forecasting of the business in order to determine correct allocation of resources and maximize business performance.

5. To provide value added business performance reporting to give the operations the tools to identify areas for improvement.

6. To lead the support and coordination of all internal and external audit visits and ensure a good relationship with the key members of these teams and pro-active follow up of audit issues raised.

7. To maintain a strong business relationship with the apartment owner/owner\'s representative in order to align business objectives and facilitate approvals on relevant activities.

8. To ensure that the capital replacement and disposal policy is enforced as per the company directives and in line with the management agreement.

9. Act as a business partner/advisor to the General Manager and other members of the Excom team in order to help achieve SBU objectives.

10. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Experience working in the Middle East
  • Exceptional people management skills, maintaining a positive approach, able to handle conflict and confrontation.
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with a \xe2\x80\x9chands on approach\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Strong background in hospitality Finance function \xc2\xb7 At least 5 years management level experience (2-3 years at no. 1 or no. 2 level within department)
  • Good financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and increasing profitability.
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with a \xe2\x80\x9chands on approach\xe2\x80\x9d
