Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence is a 41-floor luxury serviced apartment tower in the Centre of Dubai\'s business district. About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for Duty Manager to join the team at Jumeirah Living.

Main Duties: and responsibilities of this role:
  • To be a role model to all colleagues in regard to punctuality, appearance, courtesy, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to management and interdepartmental communication.
  • To assist in maintaining and developing agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure all Front Office colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as lay down in the operating manual.
  • To be fully aware and knowledgeable of all services, amenities and functions within Jumeirah Living-WTCR
  • To maintain the privacy of all residents by ensuring that no details of the resident are disclosed to anybody.
  • To ensure that guest complaints are handled and resolved by the respective departments. In the absence of the appropriate managers in the department, the Duty Manager will handle and resolve guest complaints.
  • To use discretion and tact when dealing with enquiries, problems or complaints on an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the residence and its reputation
  • To be the emergency controller in absence of the Senior Management Team
  • To cover the night shift in absence of the Night Manager
  • To balance all day\'s revenues and to perform day close procedures including Night Audit to ensure that all financial data are prepared for the Finance Department
  • To arrange emergency visa for residents, in conjunction with the Airport Desk and Visa section
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in supervising the Business Centre, Concierge, switch board and the Front Desk Operations.
  • To inform the residents about the facilities of the property.
  • To act as a salesperson of all Jumeirah Living properties, Jumeirah properties and products.
  • To log all challenges, negative feedback or unusual matters of significance in the Duty Manager\'s handover and Guest feedback report through Mercury.
  • To maintain the colleague attendance summary sheets
  • To prepare no show charges, cancellation charges, late Charge and post them accordingly.
  • To carry out regular appraisals and review sessions for the Front Office colleagues as advised by the Front Office Manager and keep all colleagues files up to date.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager to organize the Annual Vacation Plan, Weekly Duty Roster and Special Staffing Requirements.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in writing and reviewing the departmental Risk Assessments and Health and Safety and Security Procedures
  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Front Office operation, ensuring that all residents, guests and visitors always receive an optimum level of service and care by adhering to the Jumeirah Signature Standards to create the Jumeirah - Stay Different experience.
  • To ensure that colleagues report on duty on time and are in accordance with the Jumeirah grooming standards and that any discrepancy is brought to the Front Office Manager\'s attention.
  • To ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies are always adhered to.
  • To continually check all public areas for upkeep and cleanliness and to complete daily standard and quality checks in all areas.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in the checking of VIP arrival apartments and the meeting and escorting of arriving residents
  • To ensure that the residence\'s health and safety and security policies are implemented and correctly adhered to at all times.
  • To ensure all guest complaints are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • To build rapport with residents and guests and maintain interaction in order to update the guest history profiles.
  • To arrange, co-ordinate and chair the Front Office briefings and a daily and monthly basis.
  • To manage the Jumeirah loyalty program Sirius and inquiries and review and conduct necessary training.
  • To carry out and record training within the department as required and within the guidelines of Jumeirah.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in the recruitment of colleagues for the Front Office team
  • To conduct residence, show rounds in the absence of the General Manager/Front Office Manager if required.
  • To review residence allocations for VIPs
  • To assist the Front Desk, switch board, business center, on the go, concierge when required
  • To assist in maintaining the operating costs and achieving maximum sales and profitability in the Front Office department
  • To assist in the correct closure of the Reception/Cashier shift and perform necessary spot check to ensure adherence to the respective standard operating procedures.
  • To proactively seek new opportunities to generate revenue.
  • To perform any related duties and special projects as requested and assigned by the Senior Management.
  • To adhere to the Jumeirah Hallmarks, Guiding Principles and Signature Standards.
  • To comply with the property\'s health, safety and hygiene procedures and maintain grooming standards.
About you:

In order to be considered for this role you will have at least two years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment.

You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must. Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
