Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

2. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise finance team

3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

4. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital

5. Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes

6. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and filing requirements

7. Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax regulations, including registration, accurate calculation, timely filing, and payment

8. Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities

9. Provide financial analysis and insights to support business growth

10. Monitor inventory accounting and cost control systems

11. Evaluate investment opportunities, ROI, and risk management

12. Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws

Education & Certification:

Mandatory: Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA)

Experience:

1. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting

2. At least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role

3. Experience in a trading or distribution company is highly preferred

4. UAE experience and familiarity with local financial regulations is a must

5. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax law and compliance

Skills

1. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

2. Proficiency accounting software (especially ZOHO)

3. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

4. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
