to lead and manage all financial operations. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the Executive Management team, ensuring the financial health, sustainability, and regulatory compliance of the Medical Center in line with Qatar's healthcare standards and business objectives.
This role is critical for optimizing financial performance, revenue cycle management, and resource allocation to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Develop and present comprehensive financial reports, performance analyses, and actionable insights to the Senior Management and Board.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to create robust and cost-effective budgets.
Manage financial forecasts, variance analysis, and monitoring of departmental expenditures to ensure adherence to budget limits.
Revenue Cycle Management:
Manage the full revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and liaison with major insurance providers and government entities in Qatar.
Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and improve collection efficiency, particularly relating to patient and insurer payments.
Compliance & Audit:
Ensure strict compliance with all local Qatari laws, tax regulations, and healthcare financial reporting requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison for all external and internal audits, managing all required documentation and controls.
Treasury & Risk Management:
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment activities to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency and operational risks specific to the healthcare sector.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the Finance and Accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MFin) is highly desirable.
Certification:
Professional certification is
essential
(e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).
Experience:
Minimum of
8-10 years
of progressive experience in finance, with at least
4 years
in a managerial capacity.
Proven experience working within the
Healthcare, Medical, or Hospital sector
is a strong advantage.
Previous experience in the
GCC region, particularly Qatar
, is highly preferred, demonstrating knowledge of local business practices and regulations.
Skills:
Expert proficiency in IFRS and advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or specialized healthcare systems).
Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in
Arabic
is a significant asset.
