Job Description

The responsibilities of the selected candidate includes business partnering, strategic financial analysis, maintaining financial control, collation of budgets and forecasts, management of monthly and annual financial accounts including month end and financial year close (Statutory Audit, Corporation Tax submissions, VAT filing), management of payroll and payment approvals. This person will also be responsible for the end-to-end AR, AP, billing and cash functions of the business and all corporate governance related activities associated with them in line with Group policy, as well as responsible for managing banking relationships including funding matters. Management of direct report(s) who support with the AR, AP, billing and cash functions of the business.
Accountabilities:
- Manage the monthly closing of the books after completing pre-closing checks and handling exceptions with the concerned sections / departments to ensure that the financial numbers are complete and accurate. This will entail the review of balance sheet nominals through a process of validating balances through a variety of checks e.g. using trends, awareness of the business, the accounting entry flow, change in activity levels etc.
- Manage the end-to-end financial accounting functions (i.e. accrual, reconciliation and controls) over certain receivables and payables
- Manage the team by allocation of objectives, resources to achieve the work plan as per deadlines. Conduct timely revie
- End to end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, supporting with the payment and collection of balances outstanding
- Manage the banking facilities for City Sight Seeing with ENBD, managing the relationship as well as making payments, reconciling the bank statements, and ensuring cash collections are timely and in accordance with a high level of controls and governance
- Manage the monthly FP&A monthly reporting to the GM and board of directors as well as monthly submission of results to corporate.
- Analyse and review monthly results and build reporting pack for monthly and quarterly board reviews chaired by you.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency in end-to-end processes for AR, AP, Billing and cash functions.
- Oversee the payroll functions and all associated activities including monthly calculations of staff pay with commissions and incentives
- Oversee daily cash collection process and ensure adequate controls in place for security
- Manage the procurement activities including assessing suppliers and obtaining sufficient quotes for value purchasing

- Recognised Accounting Qualification
- Min 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role
- Experience of managing a small team
- Knowledge of SAGE accounting system
- FP&A experience creating and presenting to senior leadership
