To oversee the financial planning, management, and control functions of the restaurant group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgetary discipline, cost efficiency, and compliance with local regulations. The Finance Manager acts as a strategic partner to management, providing insights that drive profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Strategy
Develop and implement the group's financial strategy in alignment with business goals.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for all outlets and business units.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support expansion, pricing, and investment decisions.
Monitor financial performance versus targets and propose corrective actions.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Consolidate financial reports from multiple outlets or brands.
Analyze revenue streams, food costs, payroll expenses, and operating margins to identify improvement areas.
Present financial performance reports and KPIs to senior management.
3. Cost Control & Profitability
Implement cost control systems across all restaurant operations.
Monitor food and beverage cost percentages, wastage, and purchasing efficiency.
Coordinate with procurement, operations, and kitchen teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing and consumption.
Evaluate menu engineering reports and support pricing strategy decisions.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
Oversee petty cash, banking transactions, and inter-branch transfers.
Maintain healthy relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Optimize working capital and credit terms with suppliers.
5. Accounting & Audit
Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Ensure proper recording of transactions in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and resolve audit findings promptly.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany balances.
6. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws (VAT, Corporate Tax, and other relevant regulations).
File accurate and timely VAT and tax returns.
Maintain awareness of changes in financial legislation and advise management accordingly.
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and proper documentation for inspections.
7. Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team across outlets.
Set performance KPIs and provide guidance for improvement.
Develop staff capabilities in financial management and reporting systems.
Foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the department.
8. Systems & Process Improvement
Oversee implementation of financial and POS integration systems.
Streamline accounting workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
(Master's preferred).
Professional certifications
(CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a strong advantage.
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
in a
restaurant, hospitality, or retail group
.
Strong understanding of
F&B cost structures, menu costing, and inventory accounting
.
Hands-on experience with
accounting and POS systems
(e.g., QuickBooks, FMC).
Solid knowledge of
UAE VAT & Corporate Tax regulations
.
