Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Prepare and manage budgets for multiple construction projects and departments.
Analyze project costs, track variances, and report on financial performance.
Conduct financial forecasting and cash flow analysis to ensure project sustainability.
Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and procurement to support financial planning and job costing.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
Manage audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Evaluate financial risks and provide strategic recommendations for cost savings and profitability.
Support ERP/accounting system implementation or upgrades).
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, WIP reports, and construction finance cycles.
Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., AIA billing, retainage, change orders).
Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with construction ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
