Job Description

We are seeking a commercially sharp and Africa-experienced Finance Director to lead all financial operations related to our client's trading activities across the continent. This is a hands-on leadership role based in Dubai, working closely with the senior management team, with a strong emphasis on managing banking relationships, tax frameworks, and fiscal operations across multiple African jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, manage, and deepen banking and finance house relationships across key African markets
Serve as the primary point of contact for African tax authorities and financial regulators
Provide real-time support and insight into country-specific fiscal environments (e.g. Congo, Zambia), including tax compliance, audits, and negotiations
Act as a strategic financial adviser to the senior management team on all Africa-related financial and regulatory matters
Monitor developments in local tax codes and fiscal policies to assess potential business impact and mitigate risk
Work closely with internal legal, commercial, and operations teams to ensure financial structures are optimised and compliant
Represent the company externally with banks and regulatory bodies; maintain a strong, trusted presence across all counterparties
Support the setup or scaling of new entities or operations in African countries as needed
