FINANCE DIRECTOR

One of our clients is looking for a Finance Director role in Dubai who will be directly reporting to the Managing Director.

• Direct and control finance staff to ensure that they are motivated and developed so they can carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
• Contribute to the achievement of the company\'s business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
• Develop and control the company\'s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met, and financial regulations complied with.
• Provide financial advice and guidance to the company\'s managers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of the company\'s financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement an internal audit program to ensure that the company complies with financial procedure and regulations.
• Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.
• Directing financial planning and strategy
• Analyzing and reporting on financial performance
• Overseeing audit and tax functions
• Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets
• Reviewing department budgets
• Assessing, managing and minimizing the risk

Competencies

• Experience in accounting and reporting as a financial controller
• Experience in running a smooth month-end process in a large, multi-jurisdictional, listed organization
• Financial reporting experience
• Excellent working knowledge of financial systems
• String accounting and financial reporting technical knowledge
• Good risk assessment and prioritization skills
• In depth of knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software ( e.g. SAP )
