FINANCE CONTROLLER \xe2\x80\x93 ANI Gulf Region

The position works out of our Dubai office in Abbott Nutrition Division. As the ANI Gulf Controller, you\'ll be responsible for Finance Business Partnering, financial planning and analysis activities of the Abbott Nutrition division to ensure informed financial decisions can be made by the leadership team to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the Gulf Region comprising of the countries UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

What you\'ll do

\xc2\xb7 Business partnering with various functions as required and provide FP&A support to drive a sustainable and profitable growth in the Gulf countries UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. Lead ANI Commercial Finance team to provide financial support to all commercial and supporting functions in ANI Gulf Region.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual and long-term financial analyses and reports to meet internal as well as Area & Division reporting requirements, while assuring that all reporting deadlines are met. Drive process improvements to reduce unnecessary work/tasks. Drive automation of financial reports.

\xc2\xb7 Build Financial analytics and forecasting capabilities of functional and cross-functional colleagues by providing training and/or coaching.

\xc2\xb7 Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cash Flow Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross-functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution.

\xc2\xb7 Closely monitor sales and promotional activities to ensure full compliance of company financial policies and OEC policies. Provide training to field sales force whenever necessary regarding company financial policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Regularly review local financial policies and procedures to assure adequate internal controls are maintained in the countries.

\xc2\xb7 Review balance sheet items including adequacy of reserves and accruals and supporting documentation; assure financial transactions are properly recorded and meet Abbott and local reporting requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate internal and external audits and assure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner with effective remediation programs.

\xc2\xb7 Regularly assess the organization structure to meet changing business needs. Develop and build strong controllership organization to meet both individual professional development and business growth needs.

\xc2\xb7 Carry special projects or analysis as directed by Senior management.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Manage the FP&A function with 2 direct reports (1 permanent and 1 contract).

Required Qualifications

Work Experience

Experience - Minimum 10 years

Experience Details

\xc2\xb7 Relevant working experience in both accounting and financial analysis with multi-national companies preferably from Nutrition or FMCG industry in similar role.

\xc2\xb7 Prior Senior Manager experience in MENA required

Education

Education Level - Bachelor

Field of Study/ Qualification

\xc2\xb7 Degree in Accounting or Finance

\xc2\xb7 MBA will be a plus
