As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
  • Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to hotel guests for room charges, food and beverage services, and other hotel amenities.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding guest accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Process and record guest payments received through various methods, such as cash, credit cards, and online payments.
  • Reconcile guest accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports of accounts receivable transactions, including aging reports, payment histories, and collection efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including revenue reports and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Sales, to gather and verify financial information related to guest accounts.
  • Communicate and coordinate with guests, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns related to their accounts.
  • Follow established credit and collection policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the analysis of accounts receivable data, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist with financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for accounts receivable transactions.
  • Provide support in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
  • Preferably candidates with Cluster Hotel Operations experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification in Accounts Receivable or a similar field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, billing procedures, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in handling accounts receivable transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with guests.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems and familiarity with revenue management principles is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
