Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua\xe2\x80\x99s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold, Avantage, Forto, and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

Ornua Ingredients International is based in Dubai, UAE, and is responsible for managing Ornua\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the Middle East and Africa regions. This includes the marketing and sale of branded butter, cheese and milk powders, and bulk ingredients from Ireland into those markets, as well as a manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, and a joint venture packing facility in Lagos, Nigeria.

Role Profile

A Finance Business Partner role has arisen to cover an upcoming maternity leave. The role will be based in Dubai following an induction period in Dublin and will require travel within the region (primarily South Africa and Nigeria). The role will report directly to the Finance Director, Ornua Ingredients, with a dotted-line relationship to the General Manager, Ornua Middle East and Africa. The role sits on the management team within MEA International and has two direct reports, one based in Dubai and the other in South Africa.

The key objectives of the role will be to:
Financial Performance Management

Creation and periodic (weekly, monthly, etc) circulation of relevant financial reports to measure performance against budgets, targets, etc.
Preparation of monthly P&L analysis vs. Budget, with breakdown and commentaries by region, country and product category)
Review and reporting of monthly Forward Books
Perform variance analysis to Budget and provide narrative on causes of variance
OpEx management
Control A&P spend and ensure Balance Sheet accruals are accurate
Ensure all other non-A&P accruals are updated and reconciled
Summarize Operating Costs and review with Budget owners

Budgeting and Forecasting

Steer annual budget process for the region
Manage preparation of detailed quarterly forecast (3+9, 6+6 and 9+3) throughout the year
Monthly Flash forecast preparation and submission
Head up preparation of P&Ls for 5 Year strategic plans

Business Partnering

Pricing and commercial support
Process improvement
Working Capital management
CapEx appraisal
Other ad hoc tasks as required

Local compliance oversight

Ensure adequate resource is in place to undertake local tax and legal compliance
Regular reviews to ensure local compliance is being maintained to a high standard

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
Experience operating as a business partner to the commercial function
International experience preferred, particularly in the Middle East and Africa
