Purpose:

Finance assistant is responsible for the storage and issue of all Food, Beverage, General and operating supplies.

About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant - Storekeeper to join the Finance Department in Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Ensures that all activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Management System.

To open the store at specified time.

To maintain stock levels for all items as per approved min/max levels.

Setting up par stocks as per the consumption and ensure that stock levels are maintained.

To follow the operating standard.

To receive and verify the items from the Receiving officer.

To store all items category wise in the storage areas following the established procedures and standards.

To arrange the entire store items as per the store requisition and keep it ready for issue.

To issue the items to different departments on receipt of an approved store request and using control procedure and standards following the policy of First In First Out (FIFO) basis.

To utilize the computer when necessary for the appropriate stage of storage and issues.

To make a list of not available items and display it in the store office.

To post all requisitions in the system on the same day.

To store all items as per established procedures.

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store and maintain record on daily basis.

To inform the Store Manager if an item is required urgently.

To prepare the non-moving and slow-moving item list and bring into the attention of the Store Manager.

To ensure that all the store items are kept in appropriate temperature and maintain record for all storerooms, chillers and freezers at least three times on daily basis.

To ensure all store items are having a reasonable expiry date within Municipality guidelines and inform Store Manager and the respective Department Head in reasonable time when expiry date is approaching.

To arrange purchase request to be sent to Supply Chain & Logistic Officer for below minimum items ensuring a proper lead-time is given for SC & L.

To follow-up with supply chain and logistics officer and make sure all the items come on time.

To maintain a proper record for the items which are returned to supplier without credit note and follow up to obtain credit note for the same item.

To prepare spoilage and breakage report if any.

To advise the store manager of any customer complaints or dissatisfaction.

To give feedback to the store manager on the following: equipment problem or shortage, colleague issues, operating difficulties and other general concerns.

To assist the Store Manager in maintaining the minimum stock levels.

To conduct time to time random inventory of store items and if there are any variances find out the mistake and rectify accordingly.

To work in all the sections of Stores/Receiving as required.

To check chiller product expiry date on daily basis and entire Food Store product expiry date on monthly basis.

Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the management

To give Month end inventory each month to the cost control to maintain stock inventory level.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

University degree or equivalent

At least 2-3 years in a similar role

Communication Skills

Hotel software skills

Microsoft Package
