Airswift is seeking applicants for the role of Finance Assistant to join the Kuala Lumpur team.

Key Responsibilities

  • AP Invoice, Payment and Collection processing.
  • Delivering timely and accurate journal entries into bank accounts (cash book posting), AP Invoice journal processing, Staff Claims and Petty Cash processing; checking data validity and data accuracy/verification before entries are taken up.
  • Completion of high-volume transactions and contribute to the records of AP by filing all source documents and system generated reports.
  • Prepare reports and other documentation for management as and when required.
  • Adhering to the statutory requirements and company guidelines.
  • Act as first level of escalation to the Line Manager; coordinate with team members for effective handling of operations support, data analysis, vendor complaints and issue resolution.
  • Keeps up to date with process changes impacts and escalate change requirements on SOPs and reference materials.
  • Priorities activities to achieve optimum efficiencies
  • Accountable for individual performance on productivity, agreed KPIs and internal team goals.
Statutory Compliance
  • Assist capacity to accounting team's liaison with external auditors, tax agents, outsourced service providers on statutory filings such as local audit, income and corporate tax filing queries, etc.
Other Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Business; and Accounting (incl of ICO Billing/Accounting teams), Payroll & Billing Teams to ensure accurate and prompt recording of the transactions into the accounting books.
  • Proactive in ensuring completion and successful implementation of ad hoc projects, making recommendations as necessary to support business operations and expansion.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy/Finance and/or with 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a shared services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective time and self-management, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in various finance processing procedures and practices, multiple accounts payable cycles and high-volume transactions, is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple requests effectively within competing deadlines.
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; suggest appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance, if required.
  • Intermediate user of Excel and Microsoft Office.
