Role Profile This role sits within the finance team of Informa Markets Middle-East reporting into the Finance Director. The role will closely support the Executive Vice President for Cityscape, Energy and Egypt, and work with additional stakeholders. The Finance Analyst provides insightful reporting and analysis to inform commercial decision making. Key Responsibilities: The Finance Analyst is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
Deliver timely, high quality management information to inform the decision-making of business leaders. This includes monthly management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, headcount reporting and other ad-hoc reporting.
Assist the Finance Director with business modelling exercises such as market, product, vendor and business analyses.
Manage financial reporting processes including month-end and Balance Sheet review.
Analyse and report on monthend close variances
Update event cost trackers
Liaise with sales, ops and other teams to complete event/product setup on CRM systems
Review weekly sales and collections trends. Provide insights and determine follow up action plans as appropriate. Estimate financial impacts eg. Bad debt provisions
Develop standardised reporting outputs and finance process improvement for the business.
Work closely with Global Business Services and Finance Shared Services to optimise business services such as O2C, P2P and R2R.
Provide guidance to business stakeholders regarding compliance matters
Communicate finance policies and facilitate education/training sessions
Manage and maintain key data, contract and policy documents
Continuous business process improvement to streamline activities - "work smart"
Skills & Abilities
Excellent quantitative skills
Excellent analytical and presentation skills
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills
Able to interrogate data, demonstrating good commercial acumen to arrive at clear conclusions
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Self-starter with proactive nature, and ability to work autonomously
Ability to build rapport, work independently and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
Experience using mainstream accounting systems such as Oracle/SAP/Hyperion. Experience with TM1 (IBM) and SAP would be advantageous
Qualifications Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of experience in finance team with a demonstrated history of successful business partnering
Qualified Accountant
Bachelors Degree or higher
