Job Profile Summary

BP needs a resource to deliver full JV accounting for the Onshore Concession and ensure that overall financial accounting and reporting for Abu Dhabi is performed in a timely manner in compliance with relevant policies, processes and procedures.

As a Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Ensure effective and efficient operation of accounting processes in the SAP system
• Ensure rigorous compliance with bp accounting policies and practices
• Ensure compliance with the concession agreements
• Ensure compliance with bp internal control standards & policies to maintain strong control environment
• Ensure operational compliance requirements for local corporate income taxes and VAT
• Supervise the operation of accounts payables, accounts receivables and cash and banking related activities
• Ensure operation of rigorous cost recovery processes related to Joint venture.
• Carry out all month end and Quarter end close out processes
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audits
• Coordinate with internal auditors for annual SOX audit
• Supervise operation of employee expense claims process.
• Other adhoc activities as required

We have the following requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA, CPA, CIMA) or equivalent
• Ability to effectively work with cross function teams and third party service providers
• Understanding of internal controls and governance requirements
• Understanding Accounting Policy issues in relation to the oil industry
• Knowledge of local tax laws and statutory requirements
• Interpret procedures within context of the situation and recognises when upward consultation is required.
