About You - The Production Gear Guru

You're a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional with a passion for all things production. You understand the nuances of camera gear, lighting setups, and audio equipment, making you the backbone of any successful shoot. As our Filming Equipment Manager and Production Assistant, you'll play a critical role in supporting our creative team, managing gear, and ensuring every shoot is set up for success.

Your Daily Adventures

Equipment Management

Oversee the maintenance, setup, and transportation of filming equipment, ensuring all gear is in perfect working condition.

Keep an organized inventory of all equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, stabilizers, and audio gear.

Prepare and pack equipment for shoots, making sure nothing is left behind and everything is ready for action.

Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to avoid technical issues on set.

Manage gear logistics, including rentals, transportation, and returns, ensuring seamless shoot operations.

Stay updated on the latest gear, software, and filming techniques to keep our productions cutting-edge.

Production Assistance

Assist camera operators and the director of photography (DOP) with equipment setup and breakdown on set.

Handle tasks like setting up tripods, moving lights, managing cables, and organizing accessories.

Coordinate with the creative team to ensure all technical aspects of the shoot are covered.

Provide on-set support, ensuring the smooth flow of equipment changes and scene transitions.

Keep the set tidy and organized, ensuring quick access to essential gear when needed.

Be the go-to problem solver, anticipating and addressing any gear-related challenges on set.

Skills & Experience:

Equipment Knowledge

: Strong knowledge of professional cameras (RED, ARRI, Sony), lighting setups, audio equipment, and stabilization systems.

Technical Proficiency

: Familiarity with gimbals, drones, and remote camera systems is a plus.

Set Management

: Ability to coordinate efficiently during shoots, keeping operations smooth and on schedule.

Problem-Solving

: Quick, practical thinker with the ability to adapt to unpredictable shoot environments.

Strong Communication

: Clear communicator who can take direction and offer constructive input.

Portfolio

: Previous experience in production or videography, with a portfolio showcasing your technical skills and production contributions.

Physical Stamina

: Comfortable with long hours, heavy lifting, and fast-paced environments.

UAE Market Knowledge

: Familiarity with local shoot regulations, permits, and cultural considerations is a plus.
