Job Description
FIBER TECHNICIAN
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily OSP installation activities including trenching, ducting, fiber cable laying, splicing, and termination.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Etisalat (e&) and Du standards and guidelines.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients for smooth execution of work.
Conduct site surveys, material verification, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Review and interpret project drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications.
Identify and resolve on-site technical issues promptly to avoid project delays.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience supervising OSP works. Strong knowledge of fiber optic and copper OSP infrastructure, especially with Etisalat (e&) and Du networks. Ability to read and implement OSP designs and as-built documentation. Good leadership, coordination, and reporting skills. UAE driving license (required). Experience:OSP-DU /ETISALAT: 3 years (Required
