Prepare materials
: Clean and grind metal, and prepare joints to ensure a strong weld.
Inspect and repair
: Visually inspect welds for defects and perform necessary rework to meet quality standards.
Operate equipment
: Use a variety of tools, including welding machines, grinders, torches, and cutting equipment.
Maintain equipment
: Keep welding and other tools in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols
: Adhere to all company safety policies and industry codes (e.g., OSHA, marine welding codes).
Required skills and qualifications
Experience in FCAW welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency with welding and cutting equipment.
