The InterContinental Hotels Group at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1,600 rooms, the cluster boasts a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day:

In the absence of a manager, conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shift and logs all complaints in log book for further follow up. Supervise cash handling and banking procedures. Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports. Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures. Tackle irregular payments. Supervise the maintenance of service equipment. Monitor standards of guest facilities and services. Control stock and monitor security procedures. Assist with menu and wine list creation. Monitoring mini bar in the rooms regularly. Inspecting storage areas for organization and proper use of FIFO. Supervise outlet service. May assist with other duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

Communication skills - guests and colleagues will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to. Planning and analyses making skills. Fluency in the English language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential. Your Time management skills will be important to know how to prioritize tasks under pressure. You'll have basic skills of Microsoft Word/Excel. Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job Experience - ideally you'll have spent at least one year in a similar position in a 5 star property You'll have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential Ability to work independently and within a team environment
