Job Description
Job Summary:
The F&B Service Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service in dining establishments, such as restaurants, hotels, cafes, or banquet halls. Duties include taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly and courteously.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
- Set up tables with cutlery, napkins, and condiments.
- Ensure proper food presentation and temperature before serving.
- Follow hygiene and safety standards in food handling.
- Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and manage dishwashing if required.
- Process payments (cash, credit cards, digital payments) accurately.
- Handle billing and provide receipts to customers.
- Assist in managing reservations and waiting lists during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Ensure workstations are well-stocked (napkins, utensils, glassware).
- Follow sanitation guidelines and report maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and bartenders for smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
