is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training programs across all food and beverage (F&B) operational areas. This includes both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) staff. The role is critical in ensuring consistent adherence to operational standards, food safety and hygiene practices, exceptional guest service, delivery platform operations, and brand values. The trainer will also play a pivotal role in performance development, operational compliance, and maintaining high service quality across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities: Training Design & Delivery
Develop and conduct structured training programs for all levels of FOH and BOH staff, covering:
Food safety and hygiene (aligned with HACCP and company SOPs)
On-the-job skills and core functional competencies
Safe handling and storage of food and cleaning chemicals
Sales techniques including upselling and suggestive selling
Cash handling and sales reporting
Aggregator operations (Talabat, Snoonu, etc.):
Order management and dispatch coordination
Packaging standards and SOP compliance
Dashboard navigation and troubleshooting
Daily reconciliation and order settlement
Customer service, complaint handling, and guest interaction
Team collaboration, leadership, and communication techniques
Customize and adapt training for various operational roles:
Back-of-House:
Pastry, Butchery, Salad/Sandwich, Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Pizza Station
Front-of-House:
Runner, Waiter/Waitress, Barista, Cashier, Cake Cutter, Lead Barista, Head Waiter/Waitress, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager
Deliver pre-opening training for new outlets and conduct periodic refresher sessions.
Assessment & Reporting
Monitor training effectiveness through on-site evaluations, assessments, and employee feedback.
Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, assessment scores, progress tracking, and incident reports.
Identify operational knowledge gaps and recommend improvement or retraining plans.
Submit periodic training reports, performance metrics, and improvement strategies to senior management.
Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure complete staff compliance with operational SOPs and food safety regulations.
Support internal audits and inspection readiness through corrective coaching.
Address non-compliance through follow-up training and individual coaching.
Support & Coordination
Collaborate with outlet managers and kitchen leads to coordinate and schedule training programs.
Mentor and onboard new hires, ensuring they complete their induction training within 7 working days.
Work with HR to identify high-potential employees for skill development and internal promotion.
Assist operations in optimizing aggregator order handling and settlement procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in training, F&B operations, or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards (certification preferred).
Experience training both BOH and FOH staff across multi-unit operations.
Proficient in delivery aggregator platforms and settlement procedures.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
Flexibility to travel between branches and work varied shifts as required.
