Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Fashion Technologist with a strong foundation in pattern making to join our team. This role combines technical expertise in garment production and pattern development with a keen eye for small details, quality, and workmanship technique. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with design, production, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transitions from concept to final product.

Key Responsibilities:

Fitting & Fit Analysis:

Conduct fit sessions and assess the fit of garments on live models, ensuring they meet design specifications and industry standards. Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for fit adjustments, working closely with the design and production teams.

Size Charts & Grading:

Develop accurate and comprehensive size charts for all styles, ensuring the correct grading of measurements across the required size range. Ensure consistency and accuracy in the grading process to maintain a proper fit across sizes.

Garment Pattern Interpretation:

Analyze and interpret garment patterns to understand design and construction details. Review patterns for fit accuracy and suggest necessary modifications to achieve the desired end result. Ensure patterns are aligned with the brand's fit standards.

Sampling & Prototyping:

Oversee the creation of garment samples, ensuring that any necessary adjustments to fit or sizing are made before final production. Test prototypes to evaluate fit and quality, ensuring they align with the original design intent.

Production Support:

Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that garments are produced to specification and meet all quality standards. Provide guidance on pattern adjustments, sizing, and fit issues throughout the production process.

Quality Control:

Monitor and inspect finished garments to ensure they meet quality standards, with a specific focus on fit, sizing, and construction accuracy. Address any fit issues and recommend corrections as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in garment sizing, fit technologies, and pattern analysis. Introduce new techniques and best practices to improve garment fitting processes and ensure consistent product quality.

Skills & Qualifications:

? Proven experience as a Fashion Technologist, with a strong emphasis on fitting, size charts, and garment pattern analysis.

? In-depth knowledge of garment fit, sizing, grading, and pattern construction.

? Ability to create accurate size charts and perform grading for a wide range of sizes.

? Strong understanding of pattern reading and garment construction techniques.

? Experience with technical documentation, including tech packs and garment specifications.

? Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

? Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

? A degree or diploma in Fashion Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Skills (Optional):

? Experience with 3D garment visualization tools or software.
