Farm Electrician

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain farm-specific electrical systems such as wiring, conduits, motors, generators, transformers, lighting, and control systems for irrigation and farm machinery. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure functionality and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions and equipment problems using various testing and diagnostic equipment and tools. Test and commission new or repaired electrical circuits and systems to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards. Adhere to national and local electrical codes and regulations, and participate in safety programs to ensure a safe working environment on the farm. Maintain thorough records of all electrical work, repairs, maintenance, and inspections. Work with farm management to align electrical systems with operational needs and sustainability goals, and collaborate with other team members. Interpret and read technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics to guide installation and repair work.
