Analyze maintenance project requirements, including labor, materials, and equipment, to prepare accurate cost estimates o Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop detailed scopes of work o Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and facility managers to define job requirements o Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing for use in future estimates o Support bid and proposal preparation for maintenance and repair contracts
Procurement:
Source and procure materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted services for facility maintenance projects o Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery terms o Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure alignment with project timelines o Maintain supplier/vendor relationships and keep records of pricing, contracts, and performance o Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse or site teams for materials management
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of maintenance work scopes, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), and market pricing o Proficiency in estimating and procurement software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite o Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills o Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
Qualifications:
Education: Degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred) Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in estimating and/or procurement, preferably in facility management or construction
