Job Summary

We are hiring a Facility Engineer (Fit-Out) with a strong technical background in construction, MEP systems, and project management. The ideal candidate will oversee fit-out and maintenance activities, manage contractors, and ensure all works comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of construction and refurbishment projects Coordinate with contractors and vendors for upgrades and repairs Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality requirements Monitor compliance with local safety and regulatory codes Review technical drawings, as-built plans, and O&M manuals Support implementation of energy efficiency improvements Supervise external service providers and monitor contract adherence Participate in vendor selection and performance evaluations Respond to facility-related emergencies and manage resolutions Prepare scope of work, BOQ, and contract documentation Approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements Conduct site inspections, create snag lists, and follow up for closures Ensure all fit-out works comply with mall/building policies and authority regulations (e.g., Civil Defense, QCDD) Track contractor performance and ensure timely project handover Coordinate with procurement and finance on material and cost tracking Support technical audits, asset tagging, and system lifecycle planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management, construction, or MEP fields Strong knowledge of BMS, HVAC, electrical, FA & FF, and plumbing systems Experience managing contractors, fit-out works, and maintenance operations Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations

Key Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and coordination skills Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD and FM software experience is a plus Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations
