Facility Engineer

Job Description
Facility Engineer uses engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation, maintenance, and design of buildings, plants, and infrastructure, managing systems like HVAC, power, plumbing, and coordinating projects, budgets, contractors, and preventive maintenance to meet organizational goals and minimize downtime.
Core Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance:
Overseeing daily building systems (MEP - Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), managing repairs, and ensuring system performance.Project Management:
Planning and executing facility upgrades, renovations, and installations, often managing budgets and external contractors.Safety & Compliance:
Implementing safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulations, and identifying hazards.Efficiency:
Developing energy management strategies and optimizing facility performance.Technical Expertise:
Applying engineering knowledge to troubleshoot issues, read blueprints, and manage technical documentation (like P&IDs).Key Skills
Technical:
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, CAD software, building codes, process safety.Management:
Project management, budgeting, cost analysis, vendor coordination, leadership.Soft Skills:
