Job Description
Job Summary
The Facility Engineer is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of building systems and facilities. This role ensures that all MEP systems, civil works, and soft services are maintained to the required standards, in compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities, including
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems
Plan and supervisepreventive and corrective maintenance
activities Ensure compliance withUAE authorities, safety regulations, and statutory requirements
Coordinate withcontractors, service providers, and suppliers
Conduct regularsite inspections
and ensure timely rectification of defects Monitorenergy consumption
and recommend efficiency improvements Preparemaintenance schedules, reports, and documentation
Respond toemergency breakdowns
and ensure minimum downtime Ensure adherence toHSE policies
and conduct toolbox talks when required Support audits and inspections byclients, consultants, and authorities
Maintain asset registers, spare parts inventory, and service records Assist inbudget control
and cost optimization for facility operationsQualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering
Minimum3-5 years of experience
in facilities management or building maintenance (UAE experience preferred) Strong knowledge ofMEP systems and building services
Familiarity withUAE codes, standards, and authority requirements
Knowledge of CAFM systems is an advantageSkills & Competencies
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills Good communication and coordination abilities Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities Leadership and team supervision skills Proficient in MS Office and reporting Arabic speaking
Working Conditions
May require
shift duties, night work, or on-call support
