Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and reliable

Facilities Management Officer

to oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility in Dubai. The role involves managing building systems, utilities, equipment maintenance, vendor coordination, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in

facility operations, maintenance management, and vendor supervision

within a

manufacturing or industrial environment

in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facility Operations & Maintenance

Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring all systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.) are functioning efficiently. Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for machinery, building infrastructure, and utilities. Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and service providers for maintenance and repair activities. Monitor facility energy consumption and implement cost-saving measures. Ensure proper upkeep of production areas, offices, warehouse, and outdoor premises.

2. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance

Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.). Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections. Collaborate with the HSE department to maintain safe working conditions for employees. Implement emergency preparedness plans and coordinate fire drills or evacuation procedures.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage service providers for maintenance, cleaning, pest control, waste management, and security. Negotiate service contracts and monitor contractor performance to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Maintain vendor documentation, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), and renewal schedules.

4. Asset & Equipment Management

Maintain updated records of all facility assets and equipment. Track asset lifecycle and plan replacements or upgrades as needed. Ensure regular calibration, inspection, and servicing of key equipment and utilities.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

Assist in preparing annual facility maintenance budgets. Monitor expenses, track facility-related costs, and suggest cost-optimization strategies. Process invoices, purchase requests, and petty cash for maintenance operations in coordination with the finance team.

6. Administrative & Coordination Duties

Maintain documentation related to facility maintenance schedules, permits, and compliance records. Coordinate with internal departments (production, admin, HR, finance) for smooth facility operations. Support management with facility improvement projects and expansion activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field. 5-10 years of hands-on experience in

facility management or maintenance supervision

in a

manufacturing or industrial setup

in the UAE. Strong understanding of

building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, etc.)

. Familiarity with

UAE regulations, Civil Defense standards, and preventive maintenance procedures

. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and facility management software. Must be

available to join immediately

Preferred Skills:

Certification in Facilities Management or HSE (e.g., IOSH / NEBOSH / IWFM) is an advantage. Experience in managing technical staff and external service providers. Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. Fluency in English; Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
