Job Description

Basic Function: Fabrication and execution of Repair & Recommendation and Modification work in the LNG & ASR Plants. Items of plant includes exchangers, condensers, vessels, piping, boilers, steel structures, pipe supports, gratings, etc. and other related types of equipment Responsibilities: Performs the activities assigned by ADNOC GAS Divisional supervisor/Contractor Mechanical / Fabrication Foreman and functions at the level, established by the Department.

Fabrication and installation of R & R and Modification works including piping, pipe supports, exchangers,condensers, vessels, boilers, steel structures, gratings, etc. and other related types of equipment.

Naked flame jobs at plant which includes preparation of site, hot bolting, spading & de-spading, using breathing apparatus, fabrication & welding at the plant in process and utilities areas.

Assists ADNOC GAS Supervisor/Contractor Mechanical / Fabrication Foreman to ensure that Modification AND R&R work is executed efficiently and safely in accordance with Company Standards, Engineering Codes and Standing Instructions.

Assists ADNOC GAS Supervisor/Contractor Mechanical / Fabrication Foreman to strictly implement the work permit conditions to fully ensure the required safe plant operations.

Liaises with Plant Operators before starting any activity at plant site to fully understand and apply all the Operational and HSE requirements.

Carry out other similar duties such as assigned from time to time monitoring and assessing the plant conditions while the jobs are being performed WORK CONTACTS

Daily contact at own level with Production Division for general coordination of work LATITUDE

Reports to ADNOC GAS Supervisor/ Contractor Mechanical / Fabrication Foreman.

Work according to established procedures, practices and technical standards. PHYSICAL EFFORTS

VERY HIGH- Involving walking, standing and working with all sorts of Fabrication and Maintenance tools and tackles to ensure completion of assigned works within specified schedules, HSE and operational requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Should be familiar with working practises in Oil and Gas Industry with highest attention to HSE.

Knowledge to operate of machinery and handle tools required to perform work.

Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure smooth operation at site.

Flexible and hardworking nature whilst displaying integrity at all times. Desired Qualification:

Secondary school certificate and Trade Certificate from Advanced Training Institutes or ITI's.

Minimum 10 years of construction and maintenance experience with emphasis on fabrication and repair works in Oil Refinery or Petrochemical or Oil& Gas Industry.

Having knowledge of Materials used for the fabrication of Piping, Structural and equipment, Oil and Gas HSE practices, reading of piping isometrics and layouts, P&l diagrams, vessel and structural drawings.

Must have experience working in a brown field projects with live Plant using Naked Flame Jobs. Assists Mechanical / Fabrication Foreman and Supervisors in preparation of fabrication sketches and Bill of Materials Competencies:

Basic Safety and Risk Awareness of working in live Gas Plants.

Good Communication Skills both in oral and written English.
