to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the fabrication department. The ideal candidate will manage a team of fabricators and welders, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and drive production efficiency in line with project deadlines and company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise fabrication activities including cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
Allocate work to team members based on skills and project needs.
Interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
Inspect fabricated parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
Maintain inventory of raw materials, tools, and consumables.
Train and mentor team members to improve skills and productivity.
Prepare daily reports on production progress, labor, and material usage.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding procedures, and machining processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication sketches.
Familiarity with fabrication tools, machinery, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
