Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled FAA-Licensed Engineer (A&P or IA) with specialized expertise in the Diamond DA40 aircraft to perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with FAA regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DA40 airframes, engines (typically Austro or Lycoming), and avionics systems, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and operational safety. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections (100-hour, annual, progressive), and repairs on Diamond DA40 aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues specific to the DA40.
• Conduct engine overhauls, component replacements, and system checks (e.g., Garmin G1000 avionics, landing gear, fuel systems).
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer service bulletins (SBs), and AD (Airworthiness Directives).
• Complete accurate documentation in maintenance logs, work orders, and FAA-required records.
• Assist in modifications, upgrades, and STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) installations.
• Liaise with pilots, operators, and maintenance teams to address technical concerns.
• Maintain shop safety and organization in accordance with OSHA and company standards.

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required; Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Diamond DA40 aircraft (airframe, engines, avionics).
• Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of Austro Engine E4 series and/or Lycoming IO-360 maintenance.
• Familiarity with Garmin G1000 NXi or similar glass cockpit systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with composite repair techniques (DA40 airframe is primarily composite).
• Knowledge of FAA Part 91/135/145 operations.
• Experience with other Diamond Aircraft models (DA42, DA62) is a plus.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights (ladders/scaffolding).
• Comfortable working in hangar environments with varying temperatures.
