Overview

URGENT Expression of interests urgently required - Our Client is completing a Tender for Services EOIs needed 14th January.

Our Client, a Consulting Services Company specialising in Upstream Oil and Gas seeks an Exploration/Petroleum Systems Analyst. The Operator has Exploration Blocks including Unconventional Resources that needs to be de-risked and prepared to be offered in future block bid rounds. Applicants invited with experience of UAE fields and strong carbonate systems experience.

The Study Deliverables

• High level review report with recommendations for each block
• Each block de-risking studies detailed scope of work
• Text reports summarizing and integrating all findings of the study, including the geophysical, geological, petrophysical and geochemical analytical results with identification of prospective areas (prospectivity map) and recommended recommendations for drilling of future wells, conclusions and recommendations for further maturation activities such as seismic acquisition, drilling of exploration or appraisal wells, deepening of development wells in existing fields.

To achieve the study objectives, all available data and information pertaining to the relevant scope of the study will be made available to the Consultant. This includes but is not limited to:

• Selection of 2D seismic lines and available 3D seismic surveys.
• Available well logs, in digital format.
• Available cores and cuttings, for description and/or sampling.
• Completion reports of all relevant wells.
• Operating Company reports, geochemical and basin modelling maps, studies, etc.;
• Well test data/RFT/DST information, etc.
• All relevant existing Operator and consultant studies will be utilized as input and made available as copies or for study in a data room format.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the Operators Upstream Exploration Team in the following activities:

• Conduct high-level technical review for each block of interest. This should include, but not limited to, establishing properly ranked Exploration Portfolio of Plays, Leads and Prospects for each block, including unconventional prospectivity potential.
• Establish dedicated database for each of the open blocks to be utilized near future for the blocks bid round covering all data available per block.
• Define technical Scope of Work for a detailed Petroleum System De-risking Studies for each of these blocks that will help maturing these blocks to able to be offered by 2023.
• Define Technical requirements with clear justifications for any additional exploration/appraisal work to be conducted as part of the de-risking process with estimates probability of success for the new proposed wells.
• Provide full technical supervision for the required petroleum system studies while execution for the blocks including exploration team contribution management.
• Provide clear and effective reporting and presentations as required.

Preferences

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Abu Dhabi Oil and Gas Exploration and Abu Dhabi Regional Geology essential.
• A minimum of 15 years oil and gas industry experience is essential.
• Extensive experience in Exploration in general and Petroleum System Studies in particular essential
• Good experience in De-risking Exploration Blocks in preparation for offering them in Block Bid Rounds essential.
• Sound knowledge of unconventional oil and gas evaluation concepts essential.
• Can work independently and suggest innovative ideas to execute the project.
