Operations skills needed:

Production Management: Operations, day-to-day management of steel production processes. This includes overseeing raw material handling, ironmaking, steelmaking, casting, rolling, and quality control.
Resource Allocation: resource allocation, labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure a smooth and cost-effective production flow.
Safety and Compliance: compliance with industry regulations is paramount in operations to protect workers and the environment.
Efficiency Optimization: optimizing production processes to minimize waste, reduce downtime, and maximize output.
Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels and logistics to meet customer demand while avoiding overstock or shortages.

Technology skill needed:

Innovation and emerging technologies: Understanding of in the steel industry in terms of advanced machinery, equipment, and processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Quality Assurance: Advanced testing and inspection technologies
Energy Efficiency: Technological innovations to reduce energy consumption and emissions through the implementation of energy-efficient furnaces, waste heat recovery, and cleaner production methods.
Data Analytics: data collection and analysis, enabling predictive maintenance, process optimization, and better decision-making.
