In this
Expert Global Operations Humanitarian Logistics position
Support administration of operational plans and processes to achieve the set objectives of customer, service, quality and financial for orders/ customers
Administer assigned operational activities related to managing cross-trade shipments: coordinating with origins, destinations, carriers to ensure timely shipment delivery etc.
Receive, execute and update orders in systems (CW1, FCM, Customer ERPs etc)
Retrieve stored information, place orders or respond to customer enquiries
Report issues, exceptions and events during execution of operational activities
Proactively coordinate with the customer to receive all required documents for the shipment execution; keep customer informed on the status of the shipments
Work closely with the pricing team upon handover to ensure rates validity, correct shipment specifications being quoted for before execution and maximize profit levels on each file
Collaborate with origin & destination stations, carriers or other parties to resolve issues, ensure service quality and timelines to achieve internal and external (customer) KPIs
Comply with set policies and statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security environment & quality
Resolve recurring issues and suggest modifications in operations processes and systems to increase effectiveness and efficiency
May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions
Stakeholder Management:
May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function
Build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns
Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships

Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
Work independently with general supervision
Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex
Familiarity with challenging geographical contexts relevant to humanitarian operations will be considered an advantage
Work experience with Cargowise will be considered an advantage
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
