Job Description

Position: Maintenance Engineer (Facilities, Procurement & Contract Management)

We are seeking a

highly experienced Maintenance Engineer

with strong technical expertise across multiple disciplines, as well as proven experience in

vendor coordination, contracting, procurement, and purchasing

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on UAE experience and the ability to manage facilities operations efficiently while ensuring cost control and service quality.

Key Responsibilities1. Facility Operations & Maintenance

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems, including

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety systems

, and general civil works. Ensure all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations and company standards. Plan, schedule, and supervise routine and emergency maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and operational disruption. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify maintenance issues and improvement opportunities.

2. Preventive Maintenance Planning, Reporting & Documentation

Develop, implement, and continuously improve

preventive maintenance programs

for all equipment and building systems. Monitor equipment performance, asset lifecycle, and maintenance costs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, schedules, spare parts, and inventory. Prepare detailed

monthly and annual maintenance reports

, performance metrics, and improvement recommendations for senior management.

3. Team Supervision & Leadership

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, custodians, and facility staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of work. Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to enhance team skills and efficiency. Ensure strict compliance with

HSE policies

, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.

4. Vendor, Contract & Procurement Management

Coordinate with

vendors, contractors, and service providers

for maintenance, repairs, and projects. Prepare scope of work, evaluate quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage service agreements. Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with

SLAs, quality standards, timelines, and budgets

. Handle

procurement and purchasing

of spare parts, tools, equipment, and services while ensuring cost efficiency and quality. Maintain strong supplier relationships and continuously evaluate alternatives to optimize cost and performance.

5. Projects, Moves & Installations

Coordinate office/flat moves, renovations, fit-outs, and new equipment installations. Supervise contractors during projects to ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines. Ensure proper handover documentation and system commissioning.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in

Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering

(or related field).

Minimum 4 years of proven experience in the UAE

in facilities maintenance or building management. Strong technical knowledge of

MEP systems

and general facility operations. Solid experience in

contract management, procurement, purchasing, and vendor negotiations

. Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills. Strong reporting, documentation, and organizational abilities. Familiarity with UAE regulations, safety standards, and authority requirements.

UAE Driving License is an added advantage.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
