Job Description

A Luxury Resort located on the East Coast of United Arab Emirates is currently looking for a passionate and dynamic guest focused Executive Housekeeper to join the team with immediate effect. The role is responsible for managing the daily operation of Housekeeping Department reporting directly to Resort Manager. Ensure and drive initiatives to meet guest satisfaction by adhering to quality and brand standard of the company. Main Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the housekeeping team. Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Establish and enforce cleaning standards and procedures. Set guidelines for room cleaning, public area maintenance, laundry operations, and overall cleanliness of the hotel premises. Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hotel standards. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the housekeeping team. Manage housekeeping supplies and equipment. Ensures an adequate supply of cleaning products, other necessary items. Maintain inventory records, monitor usage, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment. Participates in budget planning for the housekeeping department, estimating expenses, and controlling costs. Monitor expenses related to staffing, supplies, equipment maintenance, and laundry operations. Strive to achieve cost-effective practices without compromising quality. Ensure compliance and high cleanliness and maintenance standards. Conducts regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. Collaborates with other departments, particularly the front office, to ensure smooth coordination of guest requests, special needs, and room allocations. Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and strive to exceed guest expectations. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials, adherence to sanitation practices, and implementation of safety protocols. Evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff, provide feedback, and address any performance issues. Conduct performance appraisals, reward exceptional performance, and initiate disciplinary actions if necessary. Maintain open communication with staff and other departments to ensure effective coordination and smooth operations. Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, staff productivity, expenses, and maintenance issues. Minimum Qualification / Experience / Skills Professional certifications or College qualifications preferably in hospitality management Working experience in various roles within the housekeeping department in managing a team. Strong leadership and management skills. Ability to delegate tasks, provide clear instructions, and offer guidance and support to team members. Effective communication is crucial. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail is vital. A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and address cleanliness issues or maintenance needs promptly. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and allocate resources efficiently is essential. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Ability to implement and enforce these regulations to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. Customer-centric approach and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and resolve problems effectively and efficiently. Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management, are essential. Possess a mindset of continuous learning and adaptability. Staying updated with industry trends, and innovative approaches to enhance housekeeping operations.
