Responsible for the build out and enhancement of the Key Client Group and Private Banking proposition across all international private banking countries i.e. with a focus on the MENA region to include and focus on KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman

The objective is to, in liaison with Global Head of Private Banking and other key stakeholders, formulate strategy and its implementation, including but not limited to building, enhancing and diversifying revenue streams, client centric value & service propositions, governance, performance metrics, foster collaboration and team work.

Lead strategy development and implementation for private banking across all relevant MENA Regions in liaison with Head of Global Private Banking.

Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and management of KPIs and other performance metrics in coordination with Head of Global Private Banking and other key stakeholders.

Lead coverage accountability across MENA private banking centres to deliver diversified revenue streams across core private banking client centric propositions including but not limited to investment advisory services, investment management (discretionary portfolio management & in-house funds), execution only, and bespoke solutions across asset classes/ solutions such as real estate financing, private equity, wealth solutions, jumbo insurance premium financing, Shariah solutions,, etc.

Lead engagement with the international private banking centre teams as well as Head Office teams including management to effectively develop and enhance cross-sell;

Lead engagement between centres of product excellence, international private banking coverage teams across jurisdictions and head office to support and, where appropriate, drive delivery of, client centric value proposition/solutions.

Spearhead engagement with internal and external stakeholders\' on behalf of business including but not limited to legal & compliance, risk management, regulators, and service providers for the purposes of effectively delivering and managing the value propositions.

In liaison with Head of Global Private Banking and other stakeholders as appropriate, lead commercial arrangements, sourcing and selection, and agreements with support from strategic vendor management, legal teams, and other enablement teams to ensure a holistic approach.

Engagement with coverage teams and other stakeholders as appropriate to support adherence to the various regulatory frameworks.

Spearhead training and development support to enhance knowledge and integrity of the client centric value propositions across international private banking centres.

Alongside finance, coverage and private banking centre heads including Head of Global Private Banking, participate in budget discussions, and where appropriate lead it, targets assignments, monitoring, and adjustments where appropriate.

Support, and where appropriate, lead initiatives to create Global Private Banking brand awareness and centre specific excellence for our clients. This includes but not limited to media engagements, web-content, industry acknowledgements, etc. notwithstanding the fact that relevant group enablement functions such as marketing and communications teams as appropriate will need to be engaged.

Opportunistically, speak at investment industry\'s thought leadership roundtables and forums/conferences on various topics as agreed with the Group.

Lead, as relevant, special situations and restructurings for clients that include engagement with external stakeholders and other senior executives of the Group (CEO, CFO, CRO, Senior MDs, others).

Qualifications
  • A bachelor \'s degree in Finance/Account ing/ Banking/ Marketing and/or Liberal Arts (Economics/Computer Science/Math)
  • An Advanced Degree: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) strongly recommended and/or a professional designation a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience of the MENA region , as well as finance, investments, and coverage/private banking engagement
  • Broad knowledge of asset classes and products such as mutual funds, close ended funds, LP-GP structures, and structured products, amongst others
  • Team player with a positive disposition who works extremely well with subordinates, engagement of peers and superiors as well as clients as appropriate
  • Ability to operate independently, manage/develop and lead a team
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Minimum of 15 years\' experience in Private Banking with a strong knowledge of the MENA region, management, private banking, investment banking and/ or investment management. Arabic Speaking is a plus
