Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for event-related services, including venues, catering, audio-visual, dxc3xa9cor, and entertainment.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality service and cost efficiency.
- Procurement Strategy & Contract Management:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with event requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Event Logistics & Coordination:
- Oversee end-to-end logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to align event execution with business goals.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential risks in procurement and event execution, implementing proactive mitigation measures.
- Ensure all services comply with legal, environmental, and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance & Reporting:
- Monitor and enforce quality standards for all event-related services.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide reports to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in event planning or category management, with a focus on event-related categories.
- Strong understanding of event trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Preferred: Experience in digital or hybrid event formats and Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
Work Environment:
- Travel may be required for on-site event management.
- Some evening and weekend work may be necessary, depending on event schedules.
