DMGT Manages a diverse, multinational portfolio of companies with total revenues of \xc2\xa32bn, that provide businesses and consumers with compelling information, analysis, insight, events, news and entertainment. The Role:
  • To sell exhibition space and sponsorship in accordance with set revenue targets to ensure budget is achieved and exceeded
  • To ensure all activities related to your product deliver a "best in class" event by knowing when to work independently and as part of a team
  • To have an in-depth understanding of your industry and contribute to the future strategic direction of your product to ensure it be a leader in its field
  • Maintain regular contact and visit existing and potential clients to ensure current and new business is developed.
  • To seek out, evaluate and develop new business opportunities through organic growth/new product development to maximize revenues
  • In conjunction with the Event Director/ Portfolio Director and Marketing Manager, develop a marketing strategy for your product to maximize visitor and exhibitor attendance
  • Examine the short and long term development of the product throughout the marketplace, in order to identify new business/acquisition opportunities
  • Create an interactive, inspirational and innovative show ensuring it continue to be relevant and on trend
  • To support the creation of the budget
  • Work with the Event Director/ Portfolio Director to develop sales incentive systems to help focus staff on target attainment
  • Communicate business direction to team members through communication channels
  • Regularly review and monitor competitive publications/exhibitions and identify new leads to ensure that sales opportunities are maximized
The Person:
  • A capable and experienced sales professional
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Creative and lateral thinker - ability to generate ideas
  • Ability to deliver budgeted revenue
  • Ability to network and liaise with senior people / trade bodies and associations
  • Arabic written and spoken is a strong asset
