RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
To ensure that guests are fully enjoying their visit to the restaurant, the restaurant manager directs and motivates the service staff to ensure that guests are having a great time.
We are looking to hire an experienced Restaurant General Manager for our clients Pre-Opening Stand Alone Luxury Restaurant.

Responsibilities

• The Restaurant General Manager will plan and direct all restaurant operations
• Establishes restaurant business plans by surveying restaurant demand service offerings.
• Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings.
• Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.
• Develop operating goals and objectives
• Set and monitor budgets; analyse budget variances and take corrective action
• Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources
• Programs in cooperation with reputed marketing agencies.
• Organize and supervise marketing and promotional activities
• Prepare and analyse management reports
• Determine staffing requirements, recruit and maintain staffing level as needed, train and coach staff
• Manage staff performance in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Develop and monitor staff work schedules on an ongoing basis ensure staff know and adhere to established codes of practice

• Must demonstrate 5 years previous experience in food and beverage management from a luxury stand alone speciality restaurant

Requirements:
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, beverages, staff
• supervision, inventory, and food safety
• Strong understanding of cost and labour systems that lead to restaurant profitability
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
• Ability to lead big groups of people
• 5 years' experience as a restaurant general manager in a LUXURY STAND ALONE SPECIALTY RESTAURANT

Education and Experience Requirements
Associates or bachelor's degree in business management
