We are seeking a dynamic and experienced workshop facilitator to lead engaging and interactive workshops for young people aged 7-18. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children and youth and be able to create a positive and supportive space for children to learn.
Introduction to the Etihad Museum:
The Etihad Museum is a 21st-century museum located at the place where the UAE was founded in 1971. It explores the chronology of events that culminated in the unification of the Emirates in 1971, with a key emphasis on the period between 1968 and 1974. The museum\'s programs aim to educate visitors and explore the themes of the UAE\'s history, culture, arts, and events in an active learning environment.
Purpose of the Role:
The Etihad Experience Executive will be responsible for leading a variety of diversified programs that commemorate, reflect and celebrate the achievements of the UAE\'s founding.
They will be accountable for fulfilling all strategic goals of Educational and Specialised Programs at the Etihad Museum and will report to the iRADAH Management Team and Senior Project Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver workshops that are age-appropriate and aligned with the museums\' mission and goals
Implement interactive activities and exercises that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork
Encourage participation and engagement among all workshop participants
Monitor and manage the behaviours of workshop participants to ensure a safe and positive environment
Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the workshops and make adjustments as needed
Collaborate with other facilitators and staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program
Present enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards the UAE and its ethos, culture, history, arts and events
Attend any required training to maintain standards
Skills:
Experience working with young people aged 7-18 in a facilitator or teaching role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and safe learning environment
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others
Strong organisational and planning skills
Passion for working with children and youth
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new teaching methods
A sense of humour and a likeable personality
Ability to present scripts in an engaging and theatrical manner
Fluent in Arabic
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in education, youth development, or a related field is preferred but not required
Training or certification in youth development, facilitation, or a related field is a plus
