Job Description

Analyze Project Scope: Review architectural drawings, project specifications, and exhibition design documents to clearly define the scope of work for fitout and exhibition projects.

Develop Accurate BOQ: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) covering materials, labor, and services required for partitions, signage, flooring, display units, and other elements.

Conduct Site Assessments: Perform site visits to validate drawings, take measurements, and assess on-ground conditions to ensure precise estimations and practical layouts.

Create Layout Plans: Produce 2D layout plans and technical drawings based on the design brief, site constraints, and client requirements for fitout and exhibition works.

Revise Drawings as Needed: Update and refine drawings in coordination with clients, consultants, and project managers to align with evolving project requirements.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all designs and execution plans adhere to local building codes, venue guidelines, safety norms, and industry standards.

Coordinate Design Implementation: Collaborate with designers, architects, and engineers to translate design intent into practical, cost-effective execution plans.

Manage Vendor Pricing: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials, lighting, structures, and specialized exhibition components.

Evaluate & Negotiate Quotes: Analyze quotations and negotiate to ensure the best balance between quality and cost for all project elements.

Client Support & Communication: Engage with clients professionally to explain cost breakdowns, timelines, and material choices, and clarify scope changes when needed.

Risk Identification: Identify cost risks (e.g., material shortages, inflation) and propose contingency strategies to protect project budgets and deadlines.

Stay Industry-Informed: Monitor market trends, material innovations, and pricing shifts to continuously enhance estimation accuracy.

Generate Estimation Reports: Prepare clear, detailed cost estimation reports for internal approvals and tender submissions, highlighting key assumptions and exclusions.

Tender Participation: Support the preparation of competitive and well-documented tender bids that reflect the full scope of fitout and exhibition works.

Oversee Site Execution: Supervise on-site operations, ensuring work is carried out according to approved drawings, schedules, safety standards, and client expectations.

Quality Control: Enforce quality checks to maintain high standards in execution--covering flooring, partitions, joinery, lighting installations, and overall finishes.

Manpower Supervision: Manage the on-site workforce, ensuring tasks are appropriately delegated and productivity is optimized throughout the project lifecycle.

Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and site activities, preparing progress reports and promptly addressing any deviations or delays.

Site Logistics & Safety: Coordinate material delivery and storage while enforcing safety practices, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring full compliance with regulations.

Final Handover Support: Assist in snagging, final inspections, and ensuring the site is ready for client handover, with all elements completed to the required quality standards.
