Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for metal works, joinery, and signage projects. The successful candidate will analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. This role requires close collaboration with the sales, design, and production teams to ensure competitive and accurate quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret architectural drawings, BOQs, and specifications for metal, joinery, and signage scopes. Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents based on project requirements. Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations. Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor. Identify risks and opportunities in projects and provide value engineering solutions. Coordinate with the design team for technical clarifications. Update and maintain estimation records and costing databases. Participate in pre- and post-tender meetings and client presentations if required. Ensure all estimates are submitted within the required timelines and meet the company's pricing strategy. Track and analyze project costs and performance for continuous improvement in estimating accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating within architectural & decorative metal and glass works, joinery, and/or signage industries. Strong knowledge of materials, production processes, and installation methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc.). Excellent analytical, math, and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of UAE construction market and suppliers. Experience in interior fit-out or exhibition industries is an advantage. Familiarity with LEED or sustainability guidelines is a plus.
