Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with experience in

furniture, joinery, and interior fit-out projects

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, tender preparation, material take-offs, pricing, contract administration, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare

cost estimates

, BOQs, and detailed material take-offs for furniture and joinery fit-out projects. Review

technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications

to determine accurate quantities and pricing. Prepare and manage

tenders

, quotations, and proposals. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing. Prepare

cost comparisons, budget reports, and progress valuations

. Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with approved budgets. Coordinate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams for cost-related decisions. Track project variations, prepare variation claims, and update cost reports. Assist in preparing

contracts, invoices, and payment applications

. Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in QS roles within furniture, joinery, or interior fit-out industry. Strong knowledge of

joinery materials, furniture production, and interior fit-out processes

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, MS Excel

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Skills Required:

Attention to detail and strong numerical skills. Good understanding of joinery fabrication and installation practices. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Team player with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
