Position Title: Estimation Engineer - Civil / Piling / Ground Improvement
Location: UAE
Salary: AED 3,000 - 5,000 per month (depending on experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Estimation Engineer with a Civil Engineering background to support tendering and cost estimation for civil works, piling, and ground improvement projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting the proposals team to secure projects efficiently and competitively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works, piling, shoring, and ground improvement projects.
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to identify scope and requirements.
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for material, equipment, and service quotations.
Prepare and update cost databases for materials, labor, plant, and subcontract services.
Assist in tender preparation, including technical and financial submissions.
Analyze project risks, contingencies, and propose value engineering alternatives.
Coordinate with project managers and site teams to update cost benchmarks and actual vs estimated costs.
Maintain proper documentation of estimation and tendering records.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in estimation, tendering, or cost control for civil/piling/ground improvement works.
Technical Skills:
Strong in quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
Knowledge of civil and geotechnical construction methodologies.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), and estimation software/tools.
Other Requirements:
Attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders.
