, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for
facade and aluminum systems
, including curtain walls, windows, cladding, and other exterior envelope components. You will work closely with the sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure bids are competitive, profitable, and aligned with client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and pricing.
Analyze labor, materials, and subcontractor quotes to determine total project cost.
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and formal proposals for submission to clients.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and lead-time information.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required to assess project scope.
Identify and communicate project risks, value engineering options, and scope exclusions.
Maintain and update estimating databases, pricing tools, and historical cost records.
Support the sales and business development team in preparing bid strategies.
Qualifications
3-5+ years of estimating experience in the aluminum, facade, or exterior envelope industry.
Strong knowledge of curtain wall, cladding, storefront, window wall, or other facade systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
Experience using estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, etc.).
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
