Job Description

Job Purpose The main purpose of the Estimation Unit Head's job is to provide accurate estimates for construction projects and is a key element of COMPANY's ability to secure projects. Principal Accountabilities Accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of estimation jobs including accurately pricing construction materials, services and manpower. Ensures the effective allocation of estimation resources to ongoing estimation jobs Develops and institutionalizes COMPANY's estimation databases, know-how, controls and capabilities Identifies and tracks Estimation KPIs and devises plans and initiatives for improvement Provides support for the professional development of staff reporting directly to him Communications and Working Relationships Supports Business Development with all commercial decisions and activities (e.g. pre-qualification process, management of SOIs and RFQs, follow up on submitted tenders, negotiations with potential business partners). Coordinates with the Sales and Marketing Unit Head for the collection and processing of market intelligence, attending external events ( Pre-bid Conference) Ensures smooth working relations with the Construction and Operations Support Department for the preparation of tender packages and foe the effective handover/kick-off of awarded projects Ensures smooth working relations with Rawabi Head Office functions for the preparation of tender packages (primarily Legal for Contracts, Finance, etc) Ensures adequate support by the Estimation Unit to the Project Manager for the substantiation of change orders and the preparation of claims files Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering Excellent Quality Control, interpersonal and communication skills Deep working knowledge with the construction, maintenance and contracting industry, standards, trends and other market developments, particularly in the GCC Strong working knowledge of key construction/contracting related functions (e.g. engineering, procurement, equipment management) Minimum 10 year experience in the construction/marine construction, contracting industry, preferably in the combination of field and office positions Minimum 5 years working in estimation Computer Literate Fluent in English (oral and written) - Arabic language fluency preferred Physical Requirements of the Job - If Applicable The job Estimation Unit Head may require local and international travel Must have exceprince in ARAMCO project ??? ???????: ???? ????
