The Estimation Manager - Aluminum & Facade is responsible for leading the estimation and tendering process for facade, curtain wall, aluminum, glazing, and related architectural envelope projects. The role involves cost planning, quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, risk assessment, and coordination with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Tendering
Lead end-to-end estimation for aluminum, facade, curtain wall, glazing, louvers, and cladding systems
Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns from drawings and specifications
Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions
Technical & Commercial Review
Coordinate with engineering and design teams for system selection and value engineering
Analyze materials, fabrication, installation methods, and logistics costs
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and competitiveness
Identify cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or performance
Team & Process Management
Manage and mentor estimation engineers and quantity surveyors
Establish estimation standards, templates, and best practices
Ensure timely submission of tenders and accurate documentation
Client & Management Coordination
Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and technical discussions
Support contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications
Prepare cost comparison reports and management summaries
RequirementsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Experience
12 years of experience in aluminum & facade estimation
Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial or lead estimation role
Strong GCC/UAE/Qatar/Saudi market exposure preferred
Technical Skills
Expertise in curtain wall, unitized & stick systems, glazing, ACP, stone cladding
Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software
Strong understanding of facade materials, suppliers, and fabrication processes
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale commercial, residential, and high-rise facade projects
Knowledge of international facade standards and specifications
Valid GCC/UAE driving license (preferred)
